The Core Score
At Exodus Health Center, we analyze our patient’s spine and nervous system using the most sophisticated technology. The revolutionary CORE score from CLA is the world’s most powerful and simplified way to measure and describe the changes in neurology over time.
The CORE score is a validated, peer reviewed technology that a practitioner and patient can trust and rely upon to report on the individual’s neurology and stress adaptation. This system uses the 3 most important measurements of spinal neurology and can be done in a non-invasive, painless procedure that takes roughly 10 minutes.
The CORE score uses the data achieved through 3 major tests of neural efficiency:
1) Spinal Thermography
2) Surface Electromyogram (sEMG)
3) Heart Rate Variability
The full neural efficiency score that is collected through the analysis of these 3 tests gives the clinician an accurate picture of how the individual is impacted by chronic stress. This score equates to the level of stress adaptation the individual is experiencing.
This testing procedure will also help to direct the doctor as to where the major stressors are being stored and how the neural spinal stress is impacting the individual’s health.
The spinal thermography looks at the autonomic nervous system and how it controls heat from side to side of the spine. A healthy individual will be symmetrical in their spinal temperatures on analysis. When an individual has an area or areas of asymmetry in their spinal thermography, it is an indication of possible neurological stress and subluxation.
Surface Electromyogram (sEMG):
The sEMG analyzes the tone and symmetry of the paraspinal muscle firing patterns. A healthy individual will have muscle firing patterns that are of normal tone and symmetrical. Increased or decreased tone and asymmetry in paraspinal muscle function are indicators of neurological stress and subluxation.
Heart Rate Variability:
This measures the pace from heart beat to heart beat. The more varied the pace is the healthier the individual’s stress response. This test helps determine the resiliency and reserve a patient has left and how balanced the entire autonomic nervous system is.
Healthy individuals have very efficient neural processing. The CORE score evaluation looks at the key parameters and comes out with a score on a 0-100 scale to determine the health and function of the nervous system.
The CORE score was designed to make communication about neural efficiency simple and create an identifiable goal to inspire the patient to take a more proactive role in their health care.
